Some of the key skills in social studies 10 is being able to use social studies inquiry processes  and skills to ask questions.  students should be able to draw conclusions from text or other materials.  Student should be able to critically analyze information to come up with a conclusion about a topic problem or issue. In social studies students are expected to be able to defend the point of views and be able to defend there information using citations and approved evidence. students can show there leadership by planning and implementing  and assessing strategies to address a problem or issue. another big part is being able to Identify and clarify a problem or issue. This can mean being able to analyze problems or issues in text or other materials this will help students  show there leadership.

Students should think of this key question To what extent has Canada’s multiculturalism policy been successfully implemented? This means , has Canada honoured there policy within multiculturalism . Have they been accepting of other cultures and being respectful and having a diverse view. Have they been making ethical decisions that benefit people of all different backgrounds?  Next is how successful there bilingual policy has been. Do they provide multiple languages on websites, food ,packaging ,list etc ? And are those helpful and do they accommodate different people with different views. For example , during the 19th century indigenous people were discriminated because they were forced to learn a language they did not speak  and their native tongue was stripped from them. Those actions now would have violated the bilingual policy that stands today. A big part of this topic is ethics and how judgment has clouded some peoples brains into making unethical decisions. People need to learn from the past to be able to make the future better.
